Oh, hello! After yesterday’s little Tuesday hiatus, I’m back on the blog in fall stripes, and this time it’s the world’s most comfy fall t-shirt dress. I mean, I haven’t actually tried every t-shirt dress in the world, but I’ve tried a bunch and this one is good. It’s a super soft, slightly thicker fabric so there’s no show-through. It gives you a little room to breathe without looking like a giant trash sack, and the best part? It’s currently on sale for $35, girl. It’s available in six different colors, striped or solid, so take your pick and stock up while they’re on sale. Once the temperatures drop, throw on a chunky cardigan, big cozy scarf, and over-the-knee boots. Or don’t, but you can bet I will. Here’s hoping everyone is having a great week!
Who’s ready for a weekend getaway?! Now I know what you’re thinking. Umm, didn’t you JUST go to Bermuda and Miami? But hear me out: When your new house is still under construction, your old lease is up, and you’re living out of suitcases anyway, you might as well take one of those suitcases on a little weekend getaway. And even better than that, pack a small bag. One bag. And get outta town. Road trip up the California coast, anyone?
It’s no secret around here that I’m a huge fan of lucy for sweat gear and (let’s face it) not-even-planning-to-sweat everyday basics, but did you know they also have some adorable day to night, sand to street pieces? You do now, girl. Check out the adorable LBD below or the shirt dress that’s also the easiest lightweight beach coverup. (You have to feel the fabrics to believe them.) The romper and long cardi that I chose above would make for the perfect airplane or road trip duo, and how cute (and versatile) is this black wrap top from my second look? Cute, sure, but here’s the real kicker. Every piece is lightweight, so comfortable, and won’t look like a wrinkled mess after you unpack it. (Important, right? No one wants to look like a slob kabob on vacay.) So throw in a swimsuit, a few fun accessories, sneakers and sandals, grab your best guy or gal, and let’s go! Destination: Anywhere.
After the hustle and bustle of the holidays and getting all dressed up for this party and that, I spend my January wondering just how acceptable it is to leave the house in my pajamas. While I never really win that internal battle with myself and the PJ’s are left at home, I do try to take things a little easier and avoid heels whenever possible. I’ve 100% bought in to the whole “sneakers go with everything” trend that’s happening right now and spend the rest of my days in comfortable, flat booties. As far as clothing goes, I’ve been living in distressed skinnies and found my two favorite pairs recently at Target. Their high rise jeggings are seriously amazing – fit true to size, feel so comfortable, and cost under $30. Add a slouchy sweater like this total Target steal, and you’re on your low-key way without looking like a pajama-clad slob kabob. Need a little more laidback inspiration? Try a simple pair of black leggings (the ones below are fleece-lined – SO cozy!) with a basic tee and cardigan. Have fun with accessories – like a coated beanie, mirrored aviators, a handbag, booties – the athleisure possibilities are endless. Check out a few more of my favorite picks below from Target as well as a fun little video.
Hip, hip, hooray for Friday! This week was beyond busy, and I spent most of it up in LA filming a couple of holiday videos with my favorite retailer. (Can’t wait to share with you guys!) Shooting wrapped just in time for me to make it home for my birthday yesterday, and I had the best day. Before leaving LA, I hit the Rebecca Minkoff sample sale, and it was crazy good. Seriously, if you’re in LA, GO. Don’t walk, run. (Details below.) I scored an amazing leather jacket for myself and a few bags for Christmas gifts. The leather jacket accompanied me to dinner last night at Bayside with my main squeeze, and the food was delicious. We rounded out the night with a fire in the fireplace and wine in hand. Thanks so much for all the birthday love yesterday! Now the weekend is here, and I can think of nothing better than a cozy cardigan and even cozier boots and doing nothing at home. Wishing everyone a relaxing weekend!
Y’all, it’s almost my favorite time of year. Sweater season. And I’ll be honest, even more than that, it’s almost hoodie, leggings, and Ugg season. Whaaat?! There, I said it. But hear me out. These days, leggings can be leather leggings, and your basic hoodie has been seriously upgraded. There are tons of comfy, cozy hoodies out there that won’t make you look like a slob kabob, and I’ve found the Mecca. Enter Evy’s Tree. Think luxe fabrics, elbow patches, pockets, and (gasp) a poncho. (Have I become a broken record about ponchos yet? I’m not that worried about it.) And the Nicole Cardigan (above) is my hands-down favorite. Throw it on with jeans, over a dress, or with the leather leggings that I’ll no doubt be living in this winter. It’s versatile as hell and feels pretty much like wearing pajamas. A win-win in my book.

Ever meet someone and immediately know they’re A-OK in your book? Like, you don’t really know why at first, but they put off only good vibes? Those are my thoughts exactly when it comes to the duo behind Morning Lavender boutique. Kim, the blogger behind Lace & Locks, and her husband Jason, a killer photographer responsible for these shots, are the adorable couple behind the online boutique that’s based here in Orange County. We met up with them while in New York and got to try out a few pieces from Morning Lavender, and y’all, I’m obsessed. Sooo, you want me to play dress up while hanging out with friends in New York? Sign me up because I’m there. When shopping online, you have a TON of options out there, but trust, Morning Lavender is definitely one of the good ones. It’s easy to navigate and packed with well-styled looks that you’ll want in your closet immediately. I mean, hi perfect cozy cardi. Hello pretty floral maxi. And can we talk about this lace little crop that Kathleen is wearing above? Hide your wallets. Or maybe don’t because your fall wardrobe is about to be really happy. Hope everyone has an amazing weekend!

P.S. – Hope you’re still following along on Instagram for a few snaps around New Orleans this week!
Today I’m fall daydreamin’ y’all, and my cart runneth over. There are so many killer trends this year (helloooo, 70’s revival…yet again), but right now my mind is on all things basic. This season, I’ve got my eye on three types of denim: destroyed black skinnies, clean dark flares, or button-front skirts. And I need them all. Since we’ve got a little more hot weather than I’d like left, I’m loving this racerback dress that can be worn alone with booties now or layered up later. And the thing I need the most from this little list? (And yes, I realize the word need is ridiculous in this case.) I’m dying over the jumbo version of my beloved Rebecca Minkoff Love Crossbody. I mean, isn’t there a saying about this? If you love something, let it go buy it in jumbo? My shaky trigger finger is just hovering over that “Place Order” button. I’m weak, people! What do you guys have your little fall hearts set on?
The holidays are fast approaching (seriously, really really fast), and it all can be a little overwhelming. Parties to plan and even more to attend. Outfits to coordinate and gifts to check off your list. Today I’m teaming up with H&M to bring you a little holiday fashion and a whole lot of gift giving for any fashionista on your list. When it comes to holiday dressing, a cocktail dress is always fun, but well-planned separates will give you much more mix-and-match potential and a lot more bang for your buck. I’m a big fan of pretty much leather anything, so when I saw these shorts, I planned my entire outfit around them. (If your weather doesn’t really allow for shorts, layer them over fleece-lined tights, and add a big coat.) A lightweight blouse, heeled oxfords with over-the-knee socks, and a scarf helped create a party-friendly look that I could easily change up and wear again and again. A fur clutch and bold red lip added the finishing touch.
Now that your outfit is planned, it’s time to cross some names off of that list of yours. From stocking stuffers to splurge-worthy cashmere, below are a few of my favorite finds from H&M’s holiday collection. Which pieces will you add to your wish list? Head over to H&M for great style and great gifts.

This week I’ve got fall fashion on the brain as I prepare to head to New York for Fashion Week, but at home in Newport Beach, things are still very summery. This romper arrived in the middle of a heatwave, and I couldn’t have been more excited. It’s the perfect little lightweight, throw-on-and-go piece that will get you through the hottest days, and paired with a cardigan, it’s ideal for cool nights. Bohemian accessories finished the look. Hope everyone’s short week is off to a great start!
