It may not be Thursday, but today I’m throwing things back to this beyond fun afternoon with Jenn at Salon by Sucre in New Orleans.  When we planned our little stay-cation last month, Jenn asked if I might want to go to afternoon tea at the newly opened Salon by Sucre.  Ummm, YES.  The inside of the Salon (upstairs) is beautiful – a white marble bar, wood floors, huge mirrors, and stunning lighting.  It’s the perfect spot for escaping the madness of New Orleans for a little afternoon cocktail.  Jenn and I were lucky enough to have the entire balcony to ourselves though, and it was just classic New Orleans.  (Admittedly, this was only possible because we went on a Tuesday when the upstairs was closed.  The balcony is definitely a must-see spot that is never really empty.)  Besides the beautiful setting and always interesting people watching, it was delicious!  I mean, y’all, the treats!  It was pretty much a sugar fiend’s heaven.  Mini eclairs, scones, Madeleines, signature chocolates, bon bons, and the most beautiful flowering pots of tea.  I really can’t recommend Salon by Sucre enough.  It seriously is such a fun thing to do with your girlfriends, your mom, your entire family, really anyone if you’re ever in New Orleans.  And, of course, since my brain is on constant wedding planning mode these days, how amazing would this place be for anything bridal?  A small shower, bridesmaids’ luncheon, or anything leading up to the big day.  (There’s a private room available for that.)  Anywho, if you find yourself in the city and want to put those pinkies up, make your way to Salon by Sucre and grab a spot of tea.

xoxo
